2014-08-27  Putin: Russia will do all in its power to restore peace in Ukraine
At the negotiations with Petro Poroshenko, the presidents reached an agreement to deliver the humanitarian aid to the Donbass region.
The Russian president Vladimir Putin met with the Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko in Belarus on August 26. Russia promised to do all the best to restore peace in the Eastern Ukraine.
One-to-one negations resulted in some agreements regarding the humanitarian aid to the Donbass region.
“We discussed the necessity of the humanitarian aid to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Reached an agreement how to cooperate at this point” - said Vladimir Putin after the meeting.
“I do not want to get ahead of myself, but some agreements have been reached” – quoted Interfax service.
It was reported that Petro Poroshenko and his delegation left the independence Palace in Minsk right away after the negotiations with Vladimir Putin.
